Spectrum Chamber Music Society will present a Spring Concert featuring Peter and the Wolf. The concert will include narration of the charming story.
Sunday, March 29, doors open at 2:30pm, concert starts at 3pm (90 minutes with intermission)

MUSICIANS
ELISE KIM, FLUTE
Originally from Seattle, Elise Kim is currently Acting Piccolo/3rd Flute in the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. She has also been a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra since 2023.
Most recently, Elise won a top prize at the 2024 National Flute Association’s Young Artist Competition. She has also been a featured soloist with the Eastern Music Festival Orchestra, UW Symphony Orchestra, Sewanee Summer Musical Festival Orchestra, and Philharmonia Northwest.
Elise completed her Masters of Music at the Eastman School of Music under the tutelage of Bonita Boyd and her Bachelor of Music with Donna Shin. Outside of music, Elise loves to be in the mountains climbing, skiing, and backpacking.

TAMARA BENITEZ WINSTON, OBOE
Paraguayan/American oboist Tamara Benitez Winston is the acting English Horn/Oboe of the Ft. Worth Symphony Orchestra. Previously she served for three seasons with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra under the same title. Tamara has performed with many of the country’s top orchestras including the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the New York City Ballet, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
Tamara holds degrees from The Juilliard School and Mannes School of Music.
Outside of music, Ms. Winston enjoys taking her rescue dog, Charlie, on fun adventures.

IVAN PETRUZZIELLO, CLARINET
Ivan Petruzziello is an Italian clarinetist currently serving as Assistant Principal Clarinetist of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and Principal Clarinetist of the Corpus Christi Symphony. He previously held principal positions with the Cali Philharmonic and the Valle Symphony in Colombia.
An active guest artist, Petruzziello has performed with ensembles around the world, including the Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia, Latina Philharmonia, Orquesta Filarmónica Nacional de Cuba, Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá and Orquesta Clásica de Colombia. In North America, he has appeared with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Houston Ballet, Irving, Plano, Las Colinas, San Angelo and Victoria Orchestras.
Petruzziello is Program Director of the Spectrum Chamber Music Society, where he is a frequent performer, and regularly appears with the Mount Vernon Music chamber series. He has been featured at festivals including the Sinfonietta di Roma, Euromediterraneo Festival, Tiroler Festspiele, Orquesta Sinfónica de Holguín and Orchestra Nuova Amadeus.
A committed educator, Petruzziello has served on the faculties of several Colombian institutions, including Universidad Central, Universidad del Valle, Universidad EAFIT and the Antonio María Valencia Conservatory, and has given masterclasses in Colombia, Cuba, Italy, Panama, Peru and the United States.
He holds a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from the studio of Francesco Belli, as well as a Master of Music in Chamber Music and an Artist Diploma Certificate from Texas Christian University. He lives in Fort Worth with his wife, cellist Laura Ospina, their children, Tomas and Olivia, their dog, Breeze and their cat, Carlotta.

KODY HARRINGTON, BASSOON
Kody Harrington is currently a member of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, performing as a section bassoonist and contrabassoonist. Previously to coming to Fort Worth, Mr. Harrington held principal bassoon positions with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra and the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra.
He has attended several summer festivals including, The Aspen Music Festival and School, the Brevard Music Center, and National Orchestral Institute, where he participated in orchestral performances and professional training. Harrington has studied at the Oberlin Conservatory, The University of Texas at Austin, and Baylor University. His primary teachers included Ann Shoemaker, Kristin Wolf Jensen, and Drew Pattison. When not making reeds or playing bassoon, he enjoys reading and cooking.

GERALD “GERRY” WOOD, HORN
Gerry praised for his “polished tone and amazing expressivity” by the Dallas Morning News, joined the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra as Principal Horn in 2022. In addition to his duties with the Fort Worth Symphony, he is newly appointed principal horn of the Colorado Music Festival.
Prior to his current appointments, Mr. Wood held positions in the Dallas Opera Orchestra and the Dallas Winds and was a prolific freelancer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. His diverse performance experience spans drum and bugle corps, chamber ensembles, video game recording sessions, and orchestras worldwide, with performances in China, Korea, Germany, Poland, Italy, and Switzerland. He has appeared as a soloist at the Busan Maru International Music Festival in Korea and is a founding member of the internationally renowned horn quartet, The Four Hornsmen of the Apocalypse.
A well-respected educator and clinician, Mr. Wood serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Horn at the University of Texas Arlington. He is also the founder and director of The UTA Honors Horn Camp and the Bluebonnet Horn Festival, both dedicated to educating and inspiring young horn players. For over a decade, he was the Horn instructor at the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute. Mr. Wood has presented numerous clinics and performances at workshops and universities across the country, including two appearances at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, he has several articles published in the New Groves Dictionary of Music and Musicians.
A native of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Mr. Wood holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master’s in Horn Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Horn Performance and Instrumental Conducting at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.
Gerry and his wife, Molly, reside in Azle with the last of their three children. He is proud that his entire family, including Molly, are successful horn players and musicians. (And for those curious, Gerry hasn’t had hair on his head since he was about twenty, and his kids don’t find him funny either!)
Gerry is a Yamaha Performing Artist and plays a Yamaha 871D.

DAN SIGALE, NARRATOR
Chicagoan-turned-Texan Dan Sigale has appeared as narrator with Spectrum Chamber Music Society and Mount Vernon Music. He was a classical music radio announcer at the University of Notre Dame, and one time in high school, a theater adjudicator described him as having “a nice…voice.” So there’s that.
He also serves as Executive Director of Spectrum Chamber Music Society. His main gig, however, is as a violist with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and he performs with Spectrum and throughout North Texas. He promises not to play the viola during this concert.
