Working with Frankford Preservation Foundation and getting married at the Old Frankford Church was an actual dream that I had many years ago. To say that my dream expectations were met would be an understatement. I spent years building it up in my head and my wedding ceremony turned out exactly like I envisioned.

Not only is the church absolutely immaculate inside and out with gorgeous features, but knowing that we were helping a part of Dallas history stay alive was an added bonus. I knew the moment I toured that I would get married at Frankford because there truly isn’t any place quite like it in Dallas.

Thank you to every single person who helped guide us on our planning journey and making our day so incredibly unique and special. I can’t wait to come back every year for the Christmas Service and being yearly donors of the Frankford Preservation Foundation.

When my now-husband and I were engaged, we searched high and low in the Dallas area for a venue that checked our boxes — he wanted something traditional and I wanted something small and unique. It was also important to us that part of the cost of our wedding was going towards a good cause, like preserving history or nature. As soon as we stepped into the Old Frankford Church, we fell in love and both of us could imagine us celebrating the rest of our lives together there. It is really hard not to feel right at home when you sit in the quiet church with the light peaking through the stained glass. Plus, you will never see wood as gorgeous as 100-year-old original flooring. For our out-of-town family it was located in the heart of Dallas, while remaining rich in history and character!! It checked all of our boxes! It is the perfect backdrop for any style you are going for — rustic, boho, dark & moody, traditional — and you can add as much or as little decor as you want. It is simply stunning!

Did I also mention how helpful and accommodating the team was? Grace and her team were available at any time and always willing to answer any questions I had. When we debated between postponing our wedding or downsizing, due to the pandemic, the team talked through all options with us and were willing to work with us to make our day as safe as possible. We are so grateful for their kindness to go above and beyond to make our special day happen just as we both imagined! We even returned a couple of months later for their candlelight service, “Christmas on the Prairie”, and were so excited to see our favorite historic church and our Frankford Preservation family.
